So how do you handle change?
For some people, change is exciting, like a new adventure and something to look forward to. You find it a breeze and sail on through without a glitch. For others, change can be difficult to handle, or stressful to say the least, especially when it enters uninvited into your life seemingly thrust upon you like a cold wet rag on a winters morning, whether you like it or not.
The way you handle change has a lot to do with how your brain is wired.
Your brain, together with all of its information, maps and filters is unique to you. The way you think and feel, the way you respond, just like your DNA is coded as you. How amazing is that?
There is no one else like you in the world!
You may notice if you have siblings that even though you come from the same parents you still handle things a little differently to them.
So never be too hard on yourself. Remember you are uniquely you.
What I can say as a Hypnotherapist is that the brain is always growing and changing its connections, even into adulthood. So whatever you have learned along the way in life that no longer works for you, you can unlearn.
You can change the way you handle your life if you want. You can learn ‘how- to’ change the way you think and the way you feel.
Science used to think the brain was static, set like concrete, once you became an adult but now they know the brain is ‘neuroplastic’. Its flexible and continually growing and making new pathways, which is fantastic because this means there is now the scientific evidence to show you can choose to change how your mind works.
I have been so honoured and blessed as a Hypnotherapist & Mind Coach to work with so many clients over the last 20 years witnessing their growth, their changes. Absolutely beautiful!
